Jenis Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete

Berdasarkan bahan yang digunakan dan kebutuhan desain konstruksi jalan Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete mempunyai beberapa jenis antara lain:
1. Asphalt Traeted Base (ATB) dengan tebal minimum 5 cm
digunakan sebagai lapis pondasi atas konstruksi jalan dengan lalu lintas berat / tinggi.

2. Binder Course (BC) dengan tebal minimum 4 cm
digunakan sebagai lapis kedua sebelum wearing course.


3. Wearing Course (AC) / Laston dengan tebal penggelaran minimum 4 cm
digunakan sebagai lapis permukaan jalan dengan lalu lintas berat.
4. Hot Roller Sheet (HRS) / Lataston / laston 3 dengan tebal penggelaran minimum 3 s/d 4 cm
digunakan sebagai lapis permukaan konstruksi jalan dengan lalu lintas sedang.
5. (FG) Fine Grade dengan tebal minimum 2,8 cm maks 3 cm 
digunakan untuk jalan perumahan dengan beban rendah.
6. Shand Sheet dengan tebal maximum 2,8 cm
digunakan untuk jalan perumahan dan perparkiran.



Aspal Beton (Hotmix) secara luas digunakan sebagai lapisan permukaan konstruksi jalan
dengan lalu lintas berat, sedang, ringan, dan lapangan terbang, dalam kondisi segala macam cuaca.
  Kelebihan Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete (Aspal Beton) :
1. Waktu pekerjaan yang relatif sangat cepat sehingga terciptanya efesiensi waktu.
2. Lapisan konstruksi aspal beton tidak peka terhadap air (kedap air).
3. Dapat dilalui kendaraan setelah pelaksanaan penghamparan.
4. Mempunyai sifat fleksibel sehingga mempunyai kenyamanan bagi pengendara.
5. Pemeliharaan yang relatif mudah dan murah.
6. Stabilitas yang tinggi sehingga dapat menahan beban lalu lintas tanpa terjadinya deformasi.
